Wal-Mart Inc. stuns the billion dollar prescription industry with the announcement of $4.00 prescription drugs. Wal-Mart is the nation's 3rd biggest seller of prescription drugs. The program will start immediately in the Tampa, Florida area and will spread statewide around January 2007. Bill Simon, Wal-Mart's executive vice-president of the Professional Services Division says Wal-Mart intends to take the program nationwide next year.

The discount prescription drugs will include about 150 generic drugs including high blood pressure medicine, diabetes, infection, specific vitamins and many others. Here are 19 of the approximately 150 prescription drugs announced by Wal-Mart.
